Orang-utan adoption

So I just adopted an orang-utan from the WWF and this is the adoption pack that arrived :) The teddy is really rather cute and Molly has her eye on it! It was quite interesting reading all about the orang-utans  and the WWF.

 

Crochet teddy

I finally finished crocheting a teddy for Libby’s birthday. Hopefully she’ll like it! I think it’s pretty cute! :)

3 positive things about today

1) Looking at photos of meeting Kelsey yesterday and getting excited all over again! :D
2) Post!! The stamps page in my Wreck this journal is coming along nicely!

Post Pals

Post pals is a charity dedicated to making sick children smile.

Their website is www.postpals.co.uk where you can find information about all the pals and their siblings. By sending a card, letter, gift or email to a child you know that you have brightened the day of a seriously ill child or their sibling.

Gifts don’t need to be expensive. Once Vikki (who set up post pals) sent some confetti stars to a young child who was screaming through her chemo and nothing they were trying would calm her down. They gave her some post to open and when she opened her card some confetti stars tumbled out. She stopped crying and started making pretty patterns with them.

Maybe next time you go on holiday you could take a minute to send a postcard to a child. They love to receive post from all over the world and you can sit back and know you have created a smile.

3 Positive things about today.

1) Looking at the photos of yesterday with Libby and Alex, so cute!
2) Birdy in the live lounge on radio 1.
3) Lots of craft things, made a few cards, sent off 2 under the sea craft kits for post pals siblings, happy days.

Granny Stripe Blanket

1) I get to go and feed next door’s guinea pigs because they’re on holiday :) Last year I wasn’t well enough to go.
2) It’s only two days until Jo and the children come :)
3) Mum and Dad are going out for dinner together.
